Dietetics courses in Australia
The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is responsible for the accreditation of dietetic programs in Australia and maintains a list of programs that are currently accredited or seeking accreditation. The following is a list of universities running undergraduate and postgraduate programs in nutrition and dietetics.
You are strongly advised to check with DAA regarding the accreditation status of any course you are considering applying for.
Graduates who wish to be eligible to apply for the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential required for employment in most healthcare settings or recognition from Medicare and private health funds must graduate from a program that is accredited.
For information on currently accredited programs go to http://daa.asn.au/universities-recognition/accreditation-of-dietetic-programs/dietetic-programs-currently-accredited/ and for information on programs seeking accreditation visit http://daa.asn.au/universities-recognition/accreditation-of-dietetic-programs/dietetic-programs-seeking-accreditation/.
