At My Health Career, we love it when the giants in a profession get involved in creating change amongst practitioners and the broader community…..
One of Australia’s leading consumer psychologists Adam Ferrier is the convenor of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Consumer Psychology Interest Group. The group aims to create a space to start exploring consumer decisions and how these decisions are made. The group aims to meet up occasionally, discuss, share, and capture information about consumer psychology. It is open to psychologists and non-psychologists.
Adam Ferrier has obtained degrees in both commerce and clinical psychology. He began his career as a psychologist in forensic psychology in a maximum security prison. He then made a switch from criminal behaviour to consumer behaviour and went on to work in advertising.
Adam co-founded Naked Communications Asia Pacific in 2004, and it was one of Australia’s most awarded and successful agencies. Naked embraced a behavioural change model, building brands whilst changing behaviour. Adam left Naked to become an equity partner at independent creative media agency Cummins & Partners.
Adam is a regular panelist on TV shows including The Gruen Transfer, Gruen Planet, Sky News and Ten News. He writes for The Australian, The Drum and Adnews and his comments and articles have also appeared in publications. He was in the 2014 Worlds Top 50 Planners and 2013 Australian Creative’s Power 20. His other award include Adnews’ 40 under 40 (2010), Mumbrella’s 7 Top Strategists (2011), Encore Magazine’s Power 100 (2012) and The Cannes Chimera (2014).
