Queensland
In Queensland, the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) has Health as one of the career areas in its Gateway to Industry Schools Program. One of the program aims is to strengthen VET opportunities for high school students interested in a career in health.
The Choose Your Own Health Career website is a useful resource for high school students, and is packed full of career pathways, personal stories and job profiles for in-demand jobs in Queensland.
The Queensland Skills Gateway can be used to find a VET training course, and the DESBT website provides information about which courses are subsidised in Queensland.
