Hospital physios saving lives

Physiotherapy

My Health Career has had quite a few new subscribers recently, and so I thought that these people might not yet have had the chance to watch the videos on our physiotherapy page (www.myhealthcareer.com.au/physiotherapy). So I thought I’d bring this one to your attention.

You see, most people are well aware that doctors, nurses and paramedics save lives. It isn’t as widely known that physiotherapists save lives too. When I went to interview hospital physiotherapist Rory Barlow, he talked about the fact that some patients in hospital become so sick with a chest infection that they choke on the secretions and could potentially die. In these cases, is then up to the physiotherapist to perform manual techniques to clear the chest and save the patient’s life:

Enjoy!!
