Dietitians have taken to Twitter to voice their concerns over the segment “Low Carb Diet Fat or Fiction” aired on the ABC’s Catalyst on Thursday night. The segment, which included comments from cricketer Shane Watson, exercise science Professor Tim Noakes, sports medicine and exercise physician Dr Peter Brukner and Dietitians Association Australia spokesperson Melanie McGrice.

It will be interesting to see if this episode about the high fat low carb diet is deemed to breach the impartiality guidelines in a similar fashion to the heart disease (statin) episode which aired in October 2013.
